Doctors and health workers at Comboni Hospital in Sogakope will not have to worry too much when it comes to accommodation and access to water following a donation made to the facility.
The DCE for South Tongu, Samuel Mawuko Eworyi, has announced that government plans to provide accommodation to at least four doctors at the hospital.
According to him, the NDC government has taken much interest in health delivery in the country and as such try as much as possible to assist hospitals in the country.
According to the DCE, the government is giving to the doctors a two semi-detached bungalow for the doctors which should be ready within four months.
The DCE said this when he, together with a parliamentary aspirant Klutsey Kudomor, presented two big Poly tanks on behalf of the former president Jerry John Rawlings.
The donation was to tackle frequent water shortage at the hospital.
The donation of the Poly tanks by the former president will help ease water problems in the hospital especially in the dental, maternity and at operating theatres.
The senior medical officer in charge of clinical services, Dr Momodou Cham, receiving the donation thanked the former president for coming to their aid.
He was also happy that very soon the hospital will have decent accommodation for doctors
Comboni Hospital is located in the heart of Sogakope in the South Tongu District.
It is one of the biggest hospitals in the Volta Region.
