The Headmaster of Nifa Senior High School Alexander Peter Acquah is in the Akropong Circuit court in the Eastern region for sexual assault.

Mr. Acquah's assistant, Anna Duodu, who was recently transferred to the school, is accusing him attempting to forcibly have sex with her.

The case was presided over by His Honor Tsatsu Azuma. The headmaster of the school has been formally charged for indecent assault.

Detailing the incident in a petition sighted by myjoyonline.com, Anna Duodu said after 4pm on 14 May 2014, she entered the headmaster’s office to inform him she had closed for the day.

“As I entered his office, he seized hold of me, dragged me into a chair, tripped me up into it and sat astride me. I was in a skirt and a buttoned top. He unbuttoned the top, took hold of my breast and fondled them”.

The assistant headmistress claimed Mr. Acquah undressed her whilst she struggled in vain to free herself.

“Because there was nobody around, all my distress cum protest yells came to nought”, she said.

She explained that the physical strong headmaster overpowered her as she grew weak in the process of the struggle.

After the headmaster had “worked himself up to a frenzy” and stripped to his boxers, the complainant said she mustered courage and ran out of the office.

She run into the accountant Mr. Opare whose presence ensured she was much safer.

She said three days later, she informed the three other heads, the Acting Assistant Head, (Domestic and Welfare), Mr Anim Addo, and Assistant Head (Academic), Mr. Boadu and the Accountant, Mr. Opare.

The headmaster later in the company of the three other heads came to render a “verbal” apology to her, promising not to repeat the act.

But her relationship with Peter Acquah deteriorated as news of the attempted rape spread among the staff.

She received a letter dated 20 January 2015 directing her to report for work at the Municipal Education office, Akropong-Akuapem “as an additional staff”.

The transfer was to take effect from 2nd February 2015 summing up her one-year ordeal at the Nifa Secondary School where she had gone to teach.
