The Melcom Care Foundation, the charity arm of Melcom Group, as parts of its corporate social responsibility has presented an assorted items worth thousands of cedis to three institutions in Accra.
The institutions are Osu Children’s Home, Dolly Memorial International School, Labone and Love’s School at Teshie.
The items include biscuits, fruit juice and colorful Teddy Bears which were displayed on a table for the children to pick any item of their choice.
The Foundation also presented two branded trophies to each institution and sponsorship package for overall best in English language as well as good behave child for the schools.
The program, which has become an annual affair, is specially designed to create a platform during the Republic Day to enable officials of the global retail giant to share gifts and interact with children.

Mr. Godwin Agbenogbo, the Head of Corporate Affairs of the Melcom Group said the outlet being the top retail shopping destination in the country will never compromise on its effort to support the society.
He said the group has identified health and education as a critical area which needs urgent attention and will contribute significantly to these areas.
He said, the donation will make the beneficiaries feel the importance of the Republic Day celebration.
Receiving the items, the Headmistress of Dolly Memorial International School, Felicity Cudjoe thanked the management of Melcom for the gesture and said the school looks forward to a strong partnership between the two. Manageress of Osu Children’s Home Christiana Addo also expressed her profound appreciation to the Melcom Group.
