Ghanaian dancehall artiste Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, has presented his Black Entertainment Television (BET) award to the United States Embassy in Ghana.
The artiste won the Best International Act: Africa at the 2015 edition of the awards in the United States in June this year.
Stonebwoy presented his award to the United States representatives when he honoured an invitation sent to him by the embassy.
The dancehall artiste, together with his management, met with Sarah Shabbir, the Cultural Attaché and Sara Veldhuizen Stealy, the Press Attaché and some other officials of the embassy on Tuesday.
Speaking in exclusive interview with Hitz FM, Stonebwoy explained that the invitation by the embassy was to congratulate him for winning the award.
“I’m humbled by this invite and it’s a great pleasure meeting up with these prominent people,” he said.
The ‘Baafira’ hit singer revealed that, the meeting was also used to discuss ways to promote Ghanaian music and how to collaborate with the embassy to empower the youth in Ghana.
