The Premier League Board (PLB), in response to security concerns raised by some premier league clubs, has reviewed security arrangements for all Premier League matches.
This is to forestall the recurrence of intimidation and harassment of visiting teams and match officials to enable home teams win their matches.
In a release signed by the general secretary K. Ampim-Darko said category (A) matches involving Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko shall operate with the existing number of security and Para-medicals in Place.
Category (B) matches, those involving either Hearts or Kotoko and other clubs will attract between 40 and 80 Police personnel.
For category (C) matches, between premier league clubs other than Hearts and Kotoko will have between 15 and 40 Police personnel.
There will also be military presence in each of the 'B' and 'e' category games when necessary.
The release stated that in special case the PLB in conjunction with the necessary authority will make changes to suit the said game.
The release also noted that it has come to the notice of the PLB that some clubs have resorted to cheating in the sale of tickets.
"We wish to advice those concerned to stop the practice since any person caught would be handed over to the law enforcement agencies," the release added.
