The Paramount Chief of the Agona Swedru Tradional area in the Central Region are in disagreement with a recommendation by the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) that the Agona Swedru Sports Stadium should be demolished.The recommendation comes in the wake of the recent heavy down pour which killed about a dozen people in the Agona Swedru area. Property worth millions of Ghana cedis was destroyed by the flood, which also pulled down part of the walls of the Sports Stadium.This compelled officials of NADMO to recommend that the stadium should be demolished, but the Paramount Chief of Agona Swedru, Nana Kobina Botwe II, disagrees with the NADMO.Nana Kobina Botwe II tells Asempa News, there are two second-division teams, Swedru All Blacks and Fankobaa F.C in the town which use the facility for their matches and so demolishing it will not be the best option.Story: Kwaku Antwi-Otoo
