Kevin-Prince Boateng (born 6 March, 1987) is a German-born Ghanaian footballer. He has a German mother and a Ghanaian father.
On 12 May 2010, FIFA finally approved Boateng’s nationality switch application. Boateng calls himself “The Ghetto Kid” because he was brought up in the poor district (Wedding) of Berlin.
He married his long term girlfriend, Jennifer, two days after signing for Spurs in July 2007.
The Portsmouth star had thirteen tattoos at the last count, covering both his arms, his chest and his neck.
He explains that the tattoo on his left bicep shows the map of Africa: “Here you see Africa and Ghana from my father.”
And says of his right arm; “I have the name of my wife and my hometown, Berlin”.
“I have two jokers; one is smiling and the other crying. It means laugh now, cry later.”
