The Council of Elders of Accra Hearts of Oak has extended the term of office of the current board of directors of the club.
The board whose term of office ended last year, but was given an extension, will still be in office until the successful implementation of the club’s plans to float shares on the stock market.
A statement signed by E. N. Commodore Mensah, chairman of the board
of directors, said the decision follows a meeting with the National Chapters Committee (NCC) and the Council on the term of office of the current Board of Directors.
It said the Council has reaffirmed their confidence in the shares
floatation exercise being carried out by the Board and Strategic Africa Securities (SAS).
The statement said as part of the decision of the Council, the NCC should render an unqualified apology to it, the Board and entire Hearts family for the unmeritorious publication made against the Board.
It said all stakeholders are to respect the established hierarchy of the club and comply with the regulations and constitution of the club.
