Jordan Ayew is set to have a third manager at Aston Villa this season as French manager Remi Garde has left his position at the club by mutual consent.
The Frenchman has struggled since taking over from Tim Sherwood in November and leaves the Midlands club rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table with 16 points.
Villa are nine points from safety and Eric Black will take over as acting manager until someone permanent comes in.
The club’s official website released a statement saying: "Manager, Rémi Garde, has today left Aston Villa Football Club by mutual consent.
"The Club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Rémi for all his efforts during a difficult period and wish him well in the future.”
