Renowned music producer and CEO of Slip Slip Entertainment, Mark Okraku Mantey has parted ways with talented guitar artiste, Kumi Guitar.
The producer, who has worked with several acts including Lord Kenya and Daasebra Gyamenah, said he parted ways with the musician after four years of working together.
According to him, they both agreed to go their separate ways last week and it was on mutual grounds.
Mark made the announcement on Rhythmz A-Z on Joy FM with Mamavi Owusu-Aboagye Saturday.
Explaining the circumstances under which they parted ways, the producer said his style of carefully grooming and managing an artiste to get his or her full potential seemed to be too slow for the musician.
‘Mmaa Time’ hit singer, he said, was not comfortable with his plans to take time to the level he wanted.
Mark said the four years they were together was only a “grooming stage” and he believes Kumi Guitar would get even more popular with time.
The Slip Slip Entertainment CEO revealed that he “was marketing Kumi into the corporate market space” and he needed time to learn.
“I have moved him from one stage to the other. I’m sure he has learnt a lot,” he said.
