Rugby experts in Ghana have hinted that the sports has a great potential in the Country.
This conclusion was reached after they watched the performances of ten privileged U-13 rugby players from the Central region who returned home from the United Kingdom where they represented Ghana in an international competition.
The teenagers performed excellently at the Tour Raid Charity Tournament last month and returned early this week.
The Tour Raid Tournament is aimed at developing the sports from the grassroots.
Ten Countries including host UK participated in the competition and despite Team Ghana’s inability to win the ultimate trophy, the President of Ghana Rugby, Gifty Anan Myers, said she is excited about the future of the sports in Ghana.
She said the young Rugby players had learnt to play the game the right way abiding by the rules of fairness and safety.
That she said is the result of tremendous support from well wishers both within and outside the country.
