Rev. Erasmus Odonkor has promised to help transform the lives of the youth who he said are the future leaders of the country.
To this end, he will embark on a vigorous evangelism crusade with the distribution of more bibles to help spread the good news.
He said these during his induction ceremony as the General Secretary of the Bible Society of Ghana.
As general secretary he will be expected to take charge of all administrative work of the Society.
Rev. Odonkor, was one of two candidates recommended by the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and one of the five (5) applicants interviewed for the position.
Dr. Joyce Rosalind Aryee, CEO of the Ghana Chamber of Mines and also the Vice-President of the Bible Society urged the congregation to avail themselves to God’s calling and return to their first love.
She charged Christians to depart from their stubborn behaviours and ask for God’s forgiveness.
The induction ceremony was also attended by President of the Bible Society of Ghana, Most Rev. Dr. Justice Akrofi.
Until his induction into office, Rev. Erasmus Odonkor was the Minister in Charge of the Osu-North Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and was also the immediate past Director of Administration and Human Right Management at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana – Head Office.
He was commissioned as a Ministerial Probationer in 1994 and ordained a Minister of Presbyterian Church of Ghana in 1996.
He is a product of the Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School, Legon and holds B.Sc Admin, MBA and MA degrees all from the University of Ghana, Legon.
He was born on 10 November 1959.
