The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has appealed for more logistics support to help it efficiently carry out its constitutional mandate.
The Commission says it needs vehicles fitted with public address systems, cinema vans and computers to achieve optimal performance.
This was contained in a five-point communiqué issued by the staff of the Commission in Ashanti Region at the end of a day's durbar held at the auditorium of the Pentecost Church in Kumasi.
"Promoting excellence in civic education through experience sharing and learning" was the theme.
The workers made a plea to the government to move quickly on additional appointments to ensure full complement of the Commission's membership.
They said vacancies on the membership composition were adversely affecting the NCCE's operation.
They also invited institutions and individuals who appreciate that civic education is a shared responsibility to join hands with the Commission to promote attitudinal change among Ghanaians.
