The Hitz High Table, an extension of the Hitz Gallery show, hosted by Accra’s evening radio mayor, Dr Pounds on Hitz FM, was a star-studded affair last Friday.
The event, which takes place every last Fridays of the month, is an open-air event for listeners of the show to meet at one place with their favourite celebrities and have fun.
The July edition of the event was dubbed “Special’’ because it marked the one-year anniversary of Dr Pounds joining The Multimedia Group and Hitz FM’s producer Mic Gizo also celebrated his birthday on the day.
Some of the known celebrities in attendance at last Friday’s event at the Joy FM car park included Dynamic trio’ 4x4, ‘King of the streets’ Kwaw Kesse and young rapper Donzy.
The show kicked off with the crowd in attendance enjoying hit tunes from DJ Gunshot and rap freestyle from Merqury Quaye, host of Cruise Control on Hitz FM.
Some high points of the event included performances from the artistes in attendance and a Dab dance competition between Dr Pounds and Lexis Bill, host of Drive Time on Joy FM.
The attendees were treated to free food and drinks while they were also given an opportunity to interact and ask the celebrities questions.
The get-together ended with a birthday song and cutting of a cake for Mic Gizo.
