Tinchy Stryder unlike many local and international artistes will definitely not ring a bell in the ears of many in Ghana but in the UK where he resides currently, he is one of the biggest selling artistes.
Interestingly, Tinchy Stryder is a Ghanaian born Kwasi Danquah and he is known for his many accomplishments in the UK music industry, including hit songs like Number 1, Take me back and Never leave you.
He was the best selling male artiste in the UK in 2009 and he makes Ghana proud whenever he mounts the stage to do what he does best, thrill his fans to the very core.
This son of Ghana is making his first major homecoming this December at the second edition of GH Rocks, organised by the nation’s entertainment powerhouse Charter House, slated for December 27 at the Accra International Conference Center.
Tinchy returns home a star to perform to Rock Gh hard along with KIG Family with some of the very best music brewed in Ghana by Ghanaians.
GH Rocks has been positioned by organisers as a celebration of all that is good in Ghanaian music, pulling together excellent acts from across the world to perform on one big stage in Ghana.
Last year’s edition hosted by DJ Black featured big names like Sway, Donae’o and Lethal B from the UK and Sakordie, Kwaku T and D Black, Iwan and Okyeame Kwame among others who turned the Conference Center into a massive jam.
Also representing at this year’s event is KIG Family, a group based in the UK. This group is known for the hit song Head Shoulders Knees and Toes which is enjoying heavy rotations on Ghanaian radio stations and night clubs.
The stage will burn even harder when some of the best artistes including Castro, VIP, Trigmatic, 55 and a host of other hot acts based in Ghana take to the stage.
What better way to say farewell to an eventful year that saw the first World Cup hosted in Africa and Ghana’s triumph thereof. Celebrating the very best of contemporary music produced by Ghanaians home and abroad will surely be a fitting cap.
