The Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra will undergo a face lift before the 6 of March this year, city mayor Alfred Vanderpuije has promised.
He assures lights will be mounted around the Circle and the grass revamped now that hawkers have been cleared of the pavements.
“We are going to beautify the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, we are going to paint the curves, we are going to build some more rails around the areas so pedestrians will not just walk across, we are going to make sure that all the lawns come alive,” he stressed.
The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) boss said the Kwame Nkrumah Circle was a pale shadow of what it should.
He stressed the need to restore its glory.
