The embattled editor of the "Daybreak" newspaper, Prince Prah says he still holds on to the publication that the Chief of Defense Staff will go home even though the office of the president has denied the publication."The Chief of Defense Staff was appointed by the president and he has the sole responsibility to relieve him, therefore he can decide to take that decision today" he said.Prince Prah recalled that last year he wrote about some Generals who have been relieved of their posts which the government denied but it turned out that the story was true.He said the Minister of Defence Lt. Gen. Smith last year, on December 23 told him straight to the face that he is ‘stupid’ to have written stories against him in the military explaining that it was the intervention of Colonel Nimo and some colleague journalist that eased tensions.Speaking to Adakabre Frimpong Manso on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem the editor of the Daybreak Newspaper narrated that the BNI yesterday abused him while interrogating him in their office.He said he received a call from one Isaac Mensah who said he had a story for him, so they decided to meet at a spot at Teshie. But when Isaac Mensah came there he said he was from the BNI and has orders from his office to interrogate him at his office, Mr Prah emphasized."When I got to the office they seized my three phones but I managed to send an SOS to a friend," he stated.Commenting on how he got the story, Mr. Prince Prah said he got the information from his sources late last year but was just weighing it and he finally decided to let the story go.Story by Samuel Mantey/Adom News
