The Deputy Education Minister, Mahama Ayariga, has been discharged from the Tamale Teaching Hospital where he received treatment for injuries sustained in a road accident.He was on admission for about ten days after undergoing emergency surgery there. He suffered internal bleeding, the doctors say, and had to through explorative surgical operation.Before he was discharged, Mr. Ayariga expressed gratitude to the doctors at the hospital for taking good care of him.The Chief Executive of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Dr Ken Tagoe in turn praised the Deputy Education Minister for being a good patient.He appealed for a mobile ventilator and other critical medical equipment with which he said the hospital will no longer need to refer accident victims to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.Dr Tagoe also praised the medical team which worked on Mr Ayariga for their diligence and professionalism, reports Northern Regional correspondent, Mahama Shaibu.The Northern Regional Minister, Moses Mabengba, assured the hospital authorities the government will provide the hospital with all the necessary equipment.Source: Joy News/Ghana
