The Ministry of Youth and Sports has confirmed no gate fee will be charged at the Ohene Djan Stadium Saturday when the Black Queens take on Ethiopia in the 2nd leg tie of the London 2012 Olympic Games qualifier. The Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Akwasi Sarpong, told Asempa Sports on Friday that as part of measures to rally support for the Queens to ensure qualification to the next stage of the qualifiers, the Ministry thought it wise to open the gates free to the public to enable them troop in and support the Black Queens. This decision by the ministry was triggered by soccer analysts on Asempa FM’s Sports Morning Show, who had earlier suggested a massive support could spur the Queens on to keep Ghana’s dream in participating in the Olympic Games football alive. The Black Queens are expected to overturn a 1-0 deficit to Ethiopia a fortnight ago, to book a place in the next stage of the qualifiers. Story: Benedict Owusu Dankwa/Asempa Sports
