The Adisadel Old Boys Association (AOBA) has resolved to get to the bottom of the homosexual scandal that rocked the school three weeks ago, involving six students and a mathematics teacher.
They have also promised to demand more accountability from every level of leadership in the school.
Their intentions are stated in a statement released on the Association’s website making it their first public comment on the issue since the incident came into public domain.
President of the Association Mr. George Arthur said the issue was subject of intense deliberations at the just ended AOBA-North America Annual Congress in May.
Three weeks ago authorities of the Adisadel College dismissed the Mathematics teacher, Richard Arthur Payne for allegedly abusing six students of the school even though only one of them was bold enough to reveal his ordeal.
The boy reportedly fell sick and when he was questioned, pointed out Mr. Payne who was later dismissed after investigations.
He was later arrested and arraigned before court where he was remanded into prison custody till date.
The Adisadel Old Boys Association has however refused to accept claims that the school is losing its hard-earned moral status since the occurrence.
They are appealing to the Ghana Education Service (GES) to ensure the thorough psychological examination of the victims to prevent permanent damage.
Meanwhile, they have challenged school authorities to immediately review the teacher hiring process in the school.
