The Central Region Division Two Middle League, commenced at the Robert Mensah stadium, Cape Coast on Sunday, with eight clubs participating.
The participating Clubs are Feyenoord Academy, Elmina Sharks, Enyan-Maim Brighten Stars, Swedru All Blacks and Mando KDOM F/C.
The rest are Unistars Academy, Kasoa Top Talents and Cape Coast Mighty Youngsters. The winner of the tournament will be promoted to the First Division.
In an opening match, Feyenoord Academy whipped Enyan Maim Brighten Stars 3-1 while Elmina Sharks beat Swedru All Blacks 2-1.
Meanwhile All Blacks have threatened to withdraw from the competition if the Regional Football Association fails to appoint competent referees to handle matches in the tournament.
Mr Ato Andoh, Chief Executive of the Club alleged that referee Charles Nyarko who handled their match against Sharks, was bias as he awarded a dubious penalty against his team in the dying minutes to enable the home team Elmina Sharks carry the day.
