President John Evans Atta Mills departs Accra Monday, August 22, for state visits to South Africa and Namibia.
The visits are at the request of Presidents Jacob Zuma of South Africa and Dr. Hifikepunye Pohamba of Namibia respectively.
A statement from the presidency, signed by Koku Anyidoho, Head of Communications, said President Mills is scheduled to arrive in Cape Town on Monday and depart for Namibia, Thursday, August 25, where as part of his itinerary, he will be the Special Guest of Honour at the country’s Heroes Day celebration on Friday, August 2011.
“His Excellency President Atta Mills is being accompanied by First Lady, Her Excellency Dr. Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills, as well as a high-powered business delegation,” the statement said.
President Mills is expected back home on Sunday, August 28.
