The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) says it is designing a resettlement plan to relocate residents of Havedzi and Xorvi who have been displaced by tidal waves.
Properties including homes have been submerged after tidal waves swept through the community last week.
The affected residents are currently putting up with friends and relatives.
Officials of NADMO who visited the affected communities Sunday morning say the situation was serious and deserve urgent attention.
The Volta Regional NADMO Coordinator, Henry Ametephey told Joy News his first priority is to distribute relief items to the people.
He said he would liaise with the Municipal Chief Executive to quickly resolve the problem of resettlement.
Experts say if the sea continues to rise between 2 and 6 metres annually, about 2,000 residents in the Keta Municipality will be completely displaced in the next three years.
