At least two people were killed in a shooting Wednesday near a San Francisco UPS facility, according to news reports.
Five people were shot and two were killed by an active shooter, NBC Bay Area reported. The shooter, reportedly dressed in a UPS uniform, was hospitalized with a self-inflicted wound.
Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital said it had admitted multiple people from the shooting, with a spokesperson telling SFGate.com "we expect more."
The San Francisco Police Department urged bystanders to avoid the area near 17th Street and Vermont Street and shelter in place after shots rang out in the Potrero Hill neighborhood.
The shooting occurred on the third floor of the UPS building, a worker told KCBS radio. A fire alarm reportedly sounded as occupants fled the building.
