An Accra High Court has adjourned a case brought against the Ghana Medical Association by the Coalition of the Health NGOs.The Coalition is praying the court will compel the doctors to call-off their two weeks strike and return to their various hospitals.Doctors are incensed with the delay by the Fair Wages and Salary Commission to migrate them onto the new pay policy-the Single Spine Salary Structure.They announced a nationwide strike and have since refused to return to duty despite several appeals by key personalities and institutions in the country.The Coalition has described the strike as illegal and has hauled the association to the court for redress.On Thursday, the defence argued the coalition has no power to sue them, insisting, that power rests only with the Labour Commission.The case has been adjourned to October 25, 2011.
