Twelve (12) members of the Ghana Burns Survival Foundation had successfully undergone plastic surgery at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN) Foundation picked up the GH¢11,500.00 bill.Mr Dennis Opoku Gyamfi, President of the Ghana Burns Survival Foundation (GBSF), told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Kumasi on Thursday that this was in response to an appeal made to the MTN.He called on other corporate bodies, institutions and individuals to assist their members, who had suffered severe burns, to correct their deformities through surgery.
The GBSF has been spearheading a national campaign to prevent domestic and industrial fires.Mr Gyamfi invited all to join hands with the Foundation to help reduce injuries through fire and other hot substances.
