The Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA) is positive some of its members will be considered for the construction of the failed STX housing project.
Recently, government indicated it was receiving proposals from construction companies that are interested in the project which is aimed at reducing the housing deficit in the country.
Speaking to Citi News, the president of GREDA, Alexander Tweneboah, said he is positive his members will be involved in the execution of the project this time round.
He intimated that “GREDA made a proposal to the ministry at the time of STX, that proposal is still there, we have revised the proposal and we wait to hear what the outcome of government would be. ”
“Whether it is the same form of contract or a different manner, GREDA and some of its members would be involved in producing affordable housing for Ghanaians,” he added.
“As I said, I am sure some of our members would be involved in producing some of these houses that government requires to satisfy the need of Ghanaians. ”
