Hiplife legend, Obrafour has mounted up a spirited defense for Shatta Wale in his recent spate of beef with some Nigerian artistes.
Shatta Wale recently opined that he does not regard Nigeria’s Starboy Wizkid as a ‘star’, he rather expects the latter to regard him (Shatta Wale) as one.
These comments ruffled some feathers including a large section of the Nigerians who unsurprisingly took to social media to lash out at the Ghanaian dancehall artiste.
As many stakeholders of the music industry; including ‘Hiplife grandpapa” Reggie Rockstone have also reprimanded the ‘Taking Over’ star for starting a strife between the two industries, Obrafour has asked Ghanaians to give the Shatta a break.
“We all know Shatta Wale, that’s how he is. With his beef with that Nigerian artiste, Wizkid, I don’t think he meant anything bad,” he told Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz.
The ‘Kasahari’ crooner was of the opinion that Shatta Wale was being confident in his own strengths because “ for Shatta Wale to say ‘I want him to rather see me and go like wow!...shows the guy belives in himself”.
Ghana ‘rap sofo” thought the issue has been blown out of proportion only because people like to attach mischief to harmless statements.
He, therefore, adviced “we have to open our minds, if we open our minds, things will be easier for all of us.”
