Former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Joe Ghartey has been answering questions to the Police HQ over the controversial 51 million cedis judgement debt paid to NDC financier Alfred Woyome.He told Joy News he was invited by the police to "assist with investigations" on the controversial matter.He said his role in the matter was limited and had no difficulty at all explaining issues to the police.According to him, he was asked if knew Woyome but said: "No. I never met him. He never wrote to me, even when i was Attorney General, after i was Attorney General, before i became Attorney General."He (police) asked me about Waterville, I said I wrote a letter to them which is four page and self explanatory."Within 30-45 minutes i was out of there," he narrated.He said he told them the truth and has a clear conscience on the matter.
