Gospel artiste Joyce Blessing says she does not regret defending her performance on secular stages and singing secular songs in any way.
On December 1, the musician attended the S Concert where she performed some songs of secular artistes including Nigeria’s Korede Bello, Phyno as well as Lil Win’s Ladder.
The gospel fraternity and entertainment critics have heavily descended on her calling her a ‘hypocrite’ for mounting a ‘secular’ stage in the first place.
The ‘Heavy Price’ singer has put up a spirited defence that she was only expressing her versatility.
Speaking to Hitz FM’s Daniella Adu Asare at the just ended Worship Above Reason (W.A.R) concert, Joyce Blessing said her critics have it all wrong.
“Never. I will never feel that way because I am doing my job. I was there to let them know what I have and that is Jesus Christ, and that’s what I did; I gave them Jesus Christ,” she said.
She stated emphatically “there is no regret at all”.
The Zylofon Media signee also revealed that apart from her collaboration with fellow record label mate Becca on their song ‘Mo’, future collaborations with other secular acts, are highly possible.
