Kwadjo Njofuni of Kpanda English and Arab school in the Krachi District of the Volta Region is paralysed in both legs and also has his spine broken since 2008 when he suffered the accident.
He was initially transferred from Krachi to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for treatment but due to financial constraints the parents failed to continue medication. Now bed-ridden, Kwadjo has developed bed sore which has spread all over his body.
According to the father of the child, Mr. Waja Njofuni, a peasant farmer, he was unable to raise money to continue treatment at both the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and the Krachi District Hospital and had to resort to local medication.
