Students of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) are demonstrating over what they say are expensive fees introduced by the administration. The students, Tuesday besieged the residence of the Rector chanting and demanding reduction in the re-sit fees being charged. One of them present at the demonstration told Joy News each student will now have to pay ¢300.00 for each paper re-written, an amount they consider too expensive. He said the students among other things are angry over failure by the administration to provide them a place on campus to eat. According to him, students have to buy food outside and bring on campus anytime they want to eat, a situation he believed was unacceptable. He said several appeals by the students to administration to resolve some of the challenges have fallen on deaf ears hence the decision to demonstrate.
