The 3rd Ghana Policy Fair, which brought together Ministries, Departments and Agencies and Assemblies in Greater Accra Region, under one roof to provide one-stop access to the public, has ended Saturday.
The fair, which was adjudged the most patronised with an all-time peak attendance of 7,000 visitors at the opening and an average 3,000 each day, was organised by the Ministry of Information.
It was on the theme: “Building Together in a Better Ghana.”
The fair provided the platform for the private sector to explore opportunities for collaboration that would rake in much needed resources and employment avenues for the youth.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, Greater Accra Regional Minister described the fair as a sign of Government’s positive engagement with the public to promote dialogue.
He expressed the hope that dialogue would provide a platform where the citizenry could offer helpful suggestions to influence Government’s future policies and programmes.
Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, a deputy Minister of Information said the fair was for the first time dedicated a day for the family.
The Friday, morning session of the dialogue which was dedicated to families in Ghana, saw many children with their parents at most stands and at the special park made for the kids to entertain themselves.
