The leadership of the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) says it is putting on hold a planned demonstration to protest delays by government to release allowances and bursaries.
The demonstration was to come on 7th May, 2012 but the association has postponed it till further notice.
President of the Association, Dr. Samuel Bert Boadi-Kusi, commended government for increasing student thesis and bursary grants by a hundred percent but expressed anger over delays in the release of the monies.
He warned should the delays persist; they would embark on a nationwide demonstration.
He however said his organization is negotiating with government for the release of the monies.
