Top CEOs in the US have commended President Akufo-Addo's management of Ghana’s economy and therefore pledged to invest and inject more capital into it.
In the run-up to the 2016 elections, President Akufo-Addo promised to build a resilient economy that will be attractive to investors.
In the first year of his administration, the government has put in place policies and programmes that will put the economy on the path of progress and prosperity.
These include abolishing of taxes the government considers a nuisance. These measures seem to be yielding the needed results as the international community has renewed confidence in the economy.
At a dinner in Washington to mark the 15th anniversary of the Whitaker group, CEOs of leading companies in USA lined up to express confidence in the Ghanaian economy and its leader.
President Akufo-Addo stressed government's resolve to build an economy which is not dependent on aid.
The CEO of the Whitaker group, Rosa Whitaker said the leadership role of President Akufo-Addo is worth emulating.
