The Upper West Command of the Customs Exercise and Preventive Service (CEPS) has burnt into ashes, two maxi sacks of marijuana weighing sixty kilograms. The Upper West Commander of CEPS, Ben Suri stated that the patrol team was on the prowl during the wee hours of February 23 in the Sissala East district of the Upper West region when they bumped into the suspect carrying the substance on a motorbike.Mr. Suri said on seeing them he abandoned the marijuana and sped off.The Upper West CEPS Commander failed to give the street value of the 60 kilogram marijuana.‘‘For you to arrive at value then you would have them tested by the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) and they are normally graded.Once we do not know what the grade is we well be misleading the public if we come out with any grade for them,’’ he maintained. He said the situation is now rampant as this is the second time the command has arrested large quantities of the substance.
He appealed to the people to give information to the command to help nib the practice of the ‘’evil doers’’ in the bud, adding that their identity will be protected
