Police in the Eastern Region have arrested two more persons in connection with the Kade chieftaincy crisis.
The two, the Queenmother and her Abusuapanin who were picked up this morning are being prepared for the court over an attempt yesterday to install a new chief.
The rival chief, Nana Debra Twum and the Krontihene of the Traditional Council are already in custody for organizing the event against the orders of the Okyehene and without a police permit.
The Krotihene has told Joy News the installation will go ahead today despite their detention.
But Deputy Eastern Regional Police Commander, ASP James Azumah Abass has ruled it out.
He said the four are being held for breaching the Public Order Act, Act 491, which requires persons wishing to organize special public events to give the police a five-day notice.
He told Joy News’ Seth Kwame Boateng the town was calm because “we have sufficient men there to maintain law and order.”
