The Funeral Planning Committee of the late President John Atta Mills is currently holding a press conference to spell out the programme of the funeral.Committee Chairman Kofi Totobi-QuakyiNobody anticipated a day like so we have difficulties arriving at a certain decisions.Friday August 10 will be a public holiday.Book of condolence will close at 6pm today.It will be available on Monday and Tuesday.Operations and Information centre with numbers 029900 416 417 419...Media deserve commendation for coverage.All media are part of the Funeral Planning Committee.Thank you.Question TimeAs far as Funeral Committee is concerned, burial is one but in the Ghanaian tradition, body belongs to the family so if later the family wants to do our rituals, so be it.We met with Otuam family and realise that there were concerns but those were resolved.We have members of the President's family in the committee but in light of the problems, we decided to expand the committee to include members of the Otuam family. We are waiting for their list.BudgetKnowing the president, we will not expend undue amount of money on his funeral.Members are not taking any allowances.It is when a person dies at home that there is need for coroners inquest but Mills died at the 37 military hospital in the hands of competent medical doctors.No member of the FPC said Mills will be buried at Flag Staff House.Decision to bury at Castle cuts out all ugly noises.We have on the committee reps of the security services who are working out a detailed plan for vehicular traffic.Committee will set up huge screens at Accra Sports Stadium and El-Wak Stadium so those who can gain access to Independence Square can converge at the stadia to watch.Police announce measures.Public must abide by temporary closure of some roads from 8 - 10th August.Roads to be closed.28th February Road to be closed

Osu Cemetery Traffic intersection will be closed
Obassanjo Highway will be sealed at Kanda intersection
Vehicles will not be allowed through the closed roads except approved for purposes of funeral.Wrongly parked vehicles will be towed.Public must conduct themselves properly
They must avoid unlawful acts
Should not bring motorbikes
No drink-drivingBe vigilant and report trouble makers.
