The National Chief Imam has called on the United States government to take action against producers of an anti-Islamic film that has sparked riots around certain parts of the World.The angry protestors say the film, Innocence of Muslims, ridicules their spiritual founder, Prophet Mohammed.Several of the protestors continue to besiege US embassies, burning flags and threatening to kill those behind the production of the movie, evident by the recent killing of the US ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens and three of his colleagues.Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu, in a meeting with officials from the US embassy, called for those behind the film to be dealt with, in order to send a strong signal to anyone wanting to engage in such act which dishonours the spiritual leader of Muslims.Alhaji Mohammed Gado, who speaks for the Chief Imam said: “we are Muslims like Muslims all over the world and the reactions you’ve seen, we may not have gone on demonstrations on the street but we feel the same way like all other Muslims because our prophet has been abused.”“Our reaction is to give them [US officials] the concerns of Muslims in Ghana…our concern is that what has happened, we hope and pray that it won’t happen again," Alhaji Gado told Joy News.
