The Ghana Beach Soccer Association (GBSA) has signed an exclusive Marketing Consultancy agreement with OmniQUEST Limited.
The agreement will see the association benefit from top-notch event marketing, branding solutions and sponsorship syndication from the media outfit.
The Director of Omniquest, Frederick Amoah said his media agency will support the association to build upon the modest but impressive strides so far made.
OmniQUEST brings to the GBSA, a rich background of sporting events and brands, including the Kinapharma Premier League, GHALCA's annual Top 4 Tournament and the President's Cup.
As Head of Sports at Multi TV and lately Manager of Sports at TV3, Fred Amoah also brings immense media experience spanning Advertising, Public Relations and Sports Marketing to the GBSA.
He created numerous TV sports programmmes currently running on both stations. Fred Amoah has moved to concentrate on sports brand building, asset management and events syndication.
Under the terms of the agreement, OmniQUEST would actively support the operations of GBSA through packaging, branding and marketing of the local Beach Soccer leagues, marshaling of extensive media exposure for beach soccer, while creating a viable promotional platform for corporate Ghana to invest in the game.
The national Beach Soccer team, when constituted, will benefit from OmniQUEST's expertise.
With just a few weeks to the commencement of the second season of the Ghana Beach Soccer Leagues, the agreement provides a timely and much needed boost for the GBSA.
Over the past four years, beach soccer in Ghana has made tremendous strides from being a sport played for fun along most of the country's coastlines, to a serious competitive discipline played under FIFA rules.
There are currently twenty registered beach soccer clubs in the country following the first ever league selection gala in 2011 which was played in Ada.
Immediately after the gala, the top ten teams were seeded and categorized into the Championship, with the remaining ten teams making up the Division 1 league.
Currently with over 600 registered beach soccer players, the GBSA held it's first ever congress in September 2011 at which executives were elected into office.
Following congress, the maiden league season got underway with sponsorship from Cal Bank, Voltic Mineral Water and Clementia Contacto.
Keta Sunset Sporting Club from the Volta region emerged winners of the Championship, whilst the Division 1 League was annexed by Teshie United BSC.
Organising two competitive leagues with limited resources was a remarkable effort by the new association headed by Yaw Ampofo Ankrah.
He believes the new partnership with OmniQUEST would strengthen beach soccer's international brand appeal.
"There is no doubt in my mind that with the support promised by the GFA and now a powerful partnership with OmniQUEST, branding and professionalism will advance beach soccer in Ghana''
