The remnants of the fire disaster are still evident; partly burnt goods and completely charred items and ashes. As Market women stand in groups counting their losses, some could still not control themselves as they recalled the fire outbreak.While brooding over their loss, others scavenge through the rubble for items to consume. Some tried to salvage items but it is apparent that they were chasing after the wind.It was also a perfect time for photographers to make money: they photographed the burnt shops and returned them to their owners for a fee. Perhaps the pictures are meant to serve as a memorial to the victims.Personnel of the National Disaster Management Organization have been on the scene to take accounts of fire victims.The market women say the AMA has promised to clean the market and rebuild it. But recurrent problems such as creating market alleys and correct electrical wiring remain on the table.
