Thirteen brilliant but needy students from schools in the Ashanti, Volta and Eastern Regions are to benefit from the Educare Trust Fund initiated by Multimedia Group Limited.Twenty-two (22) students have so far benefited from the scholarship scheme established since 2008.Its Chairman Very Reverend Ama Afo-Blay advised the students to read more, in order to excel in their examinations“One of the things that came out with some of our interactions with students in schools was that students these days you are becoming too narrow in your study. You choose a programme and that is where you are at. Anything outside of that programme you don’t know anything about it. Some did not even read newspapers. Read novels. Read other books. It is actually by reading good novels that you will develop your English language, the basic thing that you need to even study what you want to study,” she admonished. She said the sponsorship sum did not only cover school fees but pocket money for the beneficiaries.Harold Neequaye, who was one of the first beneficiaries was full of praise for MGL.He is now a second year student of the University of Ghana.
