Hearts of Oak have begun life without the sacked C.K. Akonnor by granting the suspended ex-international, Laryea Kingston a pardon.
The former Black Stars regular was frozen out by Akonnor for breaking camp rules during the club’s pre-season tour of Sekondi in the Western Region.
Kingston, 31, refused to render an apology while Akonnor was in charge and was thus left out of the squad. He has failed to play so far this season.
But with Akonnor being shown the exit late on Wednesday, the door was left open for Kingston to join his colleagues after the club's Board accepted his apology.
“Management has accepted the unqualified apology rendered by player, Laryea Kingston through a letter dated October 29, 2012 and received yesterday October 31, 2012,” a club statement read.
Kingston will now be resume training with squad as they attempt to end their three-game losing run when they play Real Tamale United at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
