Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, is asking contestants in next month’s elections to accept results of the poll irrespective of who wins.
He reminds politicians and their supporters "God makes and unmakes kings at His will".
Otumfuo made the appeal when the world leader of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Ted Neil Wilson, paid a courtesy call on him at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
Pastor Ted Neil Wilson who assumed office two years ago as the President of the General Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church is visiting Ghana for the first time in that capacity.
He was at the Manhyia Palace ahead of a special church service to be held in his honour on Saturday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
According to the Asantehene, God in his own wisdom will choose and crown a leader for the country as voters cast their ballot on December 7.
He says it is incumbent on all political parties and their supporters to respect the outcome of the polls and give peace a chance.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II praised the SDA Church for its exemplary roles in maintaining high sense of discipline among members which he says has helped to stabilize the Asante Kingdom.
He also commended the church for its social development programs especially in health and education which have brought relief to many people.
He appealed to the church to expand such support to more deprived communities.
Pastor Ted Neil Wilson commended the Asantehene for his leadership skills, and appealed to him to maintain such qualities with respect and dignity.
Meanwhile, Pastor Wilson has commissioned a multi-purpose cultural center at Gyinyase in Kumasi, at a cost of Ghc970,000.
The center, with a 900- seater auditorium, offices and baptistery, will train pastors, lay officers, elders and other workers of the church.
It was funded by the General Conference and the South Central Ghana Conference of the church.
