The regional Director, Isaac Osei says the unfortunate incidence has necessitated an aggressive search for offenders. But, he admitted it is difficult looking for unlicensed warehouses. However, he promised his outfit will use every means to locate warehouses in the region and sanction owners who are not complying with the law. Asked what sanctions will be meted out to these unlawful dealers; Mr. Isaac Osei was evasive and said the right punishment will be applied Residents in the region are worried about the health implications of inhaling pungent chemical odours. But the regional Director allayed their fears by indicating that the level of oxygen in the fumes from Thursday's chemical leakage was 20 per cent, making it not as toxic as earlier feared. Meanwhile, the remains of the burnt chemicals at Atwima Boko were buried at Donpoase by applying lime to reduce the chemical effect. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be meeting the Agro-chemical dealers in the region on Tuesday to impress on them to register with the Agency to avoid any future punitive sanctions
