The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, is expected to reappear before the Accra Circuit Court 9 Friday, September 12.

This follows his remand in police custody on Wednesday, September 9, after he appeared in court following his arrest on Monday.

The Ghana Police Service confirmed that the outspoken politician was arrested on charges of “offensive conduct conducive to the breach of the peace.”

Abronye DC reportedly sought political asylum in eight countries: Côte d’Ivoire, the United States, France, Italy, Canada, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Germany, citing threats to his safety and political persecution.
