The Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, Dr. Kingsley Agyemang, has indicated his commitment to champion infrastructure development across the constituency.
He said this when he visited Asafo to inspect the ongoing construction of a culvert project aimed at permanently addressing the community’s long-standing flooding problem.
“Infrastructure development is a key pillar of my vision for sustainable community growth,” Dr. Agyemang stated. “We’re not just fixing today’s problems — we’re building resilience for the future.”
For years, residents of Asafo have endured severe flooding during heavy rains, which has damaged homes, farmlands, and disrupted movement.
The situation has been a major source of distress for the community, prompting repeated calls for intervention.
Dr. Agyemang’s culvert project, initiated under his constituency infrastructure plan, is expected to improve drainage and protect the area from further flood-related destruction. He emphasized that practical, community-centered projects remain his top priority as MP, ensuring that development directly impacts the lives of constituents.
Residents who witnessed the inspection expressed excitement over the progress of work and praised the MP’s dedication.
“Great leadership in action! Dr. Kingsley Agyemang continues to show genuine commitment to the welfare of his people. Infrastructure like this makes a real difference,” one resident said.
Another added, “Impactful MP, be blessed.”
The Asafo culvert construction forms part of a broader set of community development initiatives being championed by Dr. Agyemang to tackle flooding, enhance local road networks, and promote sustainable growth across Abuakwa South.
