Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde says abuse in the movie industry cannot be fully eradicated.
According to the actress, people will still take advantage of others in life.
Speaking with Doreen Avio at the Women of Valour event, Omotola says these abuses can be avoided and can be dealt with due to current times.
“It can be avoided. Can it be eradicated? Almost no! That is because, in life, you can't. The movie industry is part of life. People will still want to take advantage of things both the predator and the victim.
“We can put people in a position where it cannot be done against their will. That is what we are trying to do in the movie industry worldwide. People are more vocal except if you want to put yourself in that position.
There was a time in the industry when it was almost like what are you talking about, it is a norm. not anymore. Right now if you speak out, they will be in trouble.”
