Academic City University College has announced the appointment of Dr. Sena Agbodjah as the Vice President of Academic Affairs. She officially began her duties on Monday, June 3, 2024.
With a wealth of experience in academic leadership and a proven track record of excellence in higher education, Dr. Agbodjah brings a dynamic vision and a commitment to academic innovation and student success.
In her new role, she will lead and oversee academic affairs and drive the institution’s commitment to excellence in education, research, and innovation.
Dr. Agbodjah previously served as Head of the Business Administration Department and Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Project Management at Ashesi University.
She has a BSc and a PhD in Building Technology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and is a qualified Project Management Professional (PMP).
She is passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem development in higher education institutions and community development across rural Ghana, with an emphasis on empowering women and young people.

She is actively working on the development of an African-centered early childhood education content and career guidance, coaching and counselling for high school students across Ghana.
Commenting on her new role, she remarked, "I am honoured and excited to assume the position of Vice President of Academic Affairs at Academic City, especially during this pivotal time when global higher education is experiencing rapid transformation.
"I am excited about the opportunities ahead and committed to contributing to driving Academic City's mission to provide exceptional education and nurture young people to become relevant for the future of Africa and the world”.
Dr. Agbodjah's primary goal is to create a transdisciplinary innovative and entrepreneurial environment for all community members, that benefits not just her immediate community, but also the larger region and, ultimately, the African continent.
Prof. Fred McBagonluri, President of Academic City, commented on her appointment: "We are excited to have Dr. Agbodjah join the Academic City family.
"Together, I am confident we can foster an environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning among our students.”
