Access Bank Thursday called on the management of The Multimedia Group, parent company of Joy FM, as part of its road show to thank customers and other stakeholders for propelling the bank to win the highly coveted Bank of the Year award.
This comes barely one month after the bank was adjudged the “Bank of the Year” 2013 at the 13th Ghana Banking Awards
The team led by the Managing Director, Dolapo Ogundimu also revealed the bank will be rebranding, beginning early next year.
He said the visit has provided an opportunity for his bank to express its gratitude for the loyalty, patronage and immense support that customers and stakeholders have shown over the past 5 years since it began operations in Ghana.
“Our impressive growth pattern over the last five years has been sustained by the business of our loyal customers and key stakeholders. We owe this award to them, and for us, the appreciation for their custom will not end with these visits, it will continue into the years ahead, with our many customer loyalty campaigns that we shall be rolling out,” he said.
The Chief Executive of Multimedia Group, Kwasi Twum on behalf of his team also expressed gratitude for the bank’s visit and lauded the bank for the feat achieved in its 5 years of operations in the country.
Some of the stakeholders who have also received the Access Bank delegation so far include Zakhem Construction, NDK Financial Services, the Produce Buying Company, the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, Omni Media, Volta River Authority and the Nigerian High Commission, among others.
In addition to the road shows, Access Bank is also extending the award celebration bank-wide to all its branches and locations for its retail banking customers. The Bank has set aside one whole week, starting December 4, with a cake cutting ceremony in each branch. Customers who visit any of Access Bank’s branches and locations will receive a lovely Access Bank souvenir.
At the 13th Ghana Banking Awards, Access Bank also emerged winner for Best Bank in Corporate Social Responsibility and 1st and 2nd runners up in the Enterprise Finance and Household Finance categories respectively.
This is the third time the bank has been recognized by the Ghana Banking Awards. The Bank in its maiden participation in 2010, swept three awards including Most Socially Responsible Bank, Best Bank in Agric Financing and 1st Runner up in Financial Performance.
In 2012, Access Bank was adjudged the Best Growing Bank in Ghana barely 1 year after its successful merger and business integration with the erstwhile Intercontinental Bank Ghana (“IBG”). Today, Access Bank is also recognized as the 3rd Most Respected Bank in the country by the Ghana Club 100 Awards and Top Emerging Brand 2012 by Premier Brands.
